AI governance

AI governance involves efforts to:

  1. Research policy and decision-making questions about current and future AI systems.

  2. Inform and influence decision-makers such as corporations, nonprofits, and national governments.

In general, AI governance work focuses on fostering cooperation and developing concrete tools, such as legislation and monitoring. A subset of AI governance work focuses on navigating the transformative impacts of future AI systems that are much more capable than those of today.
